Balloon issue 2 page 3 bottom half
A couple of things 1. Edgy angry no fun man continues to be edgy angry no fun man. I don't want to make it seem like his character is being written inconsistently, I hope you understand that he was pretty quickly radicalized between issues, the little time he's spent in Cero city has crushed the optimism he once had. 2. Am I doing a dialectics now? Pitting two ideas and worldviews against each other? I plan on having the fights reflect a similar style going forward, with each side representing an ideal or ideology and their physical fight reflecting their philosophical one. For now though, this is just some character interactions. Plus, Em liked the idea of being in the story. 3. Yeah I realize the Julian character is kind of a dick. I'm not gonna try to explain it away, that's just how he is. He's a jaded fedora-tipping "everything sucks" guy right now. Maybe going forward he'll change, maybe not. He already blew up at Laurel. He's not a bad guy, at the end of the day he fights, LITERALLY for things to get better. I like when characters are written as people, who are sometimes flawed in a way that isn't directly addressed or easily fixed in a neat arc, or who lack self-awareness. IDK, it's subtle but characters being written like people is something I value quite a bit. 4. That dancing thing...oh man, I relate. I wont lie that was just me plopping a real life experience into the story. I don't know how to dance, I cant "feel it" it doesn't come to me and isn't natural. It's very weird and I don't get it. ;-;
