The difference in time between when I come up with an idea and when I get to it, and the difference between the time passed in-universe and IRL is huge and it's becoming a problem. Julian is simultaneously fighting a fire and having fun at a club, but me IRL, I feel hopeless. My spirit is almost completely broken. So this is art that expresses my feelings, but it's non-cannon.

I'm in no way denying your reality Naga. I know plenty of people in all age groups younger than me who would not agree though. The political system is probably more messed up than they realize. My problem is with calling anyone who disagrees with you detached and ignorant. That kind of limits the conversation and is one of the things I hate most about politics nowadays.

This isn't just about my persona life. It is to a degree, but on a larger scale there's no way out and no hope for anyone my age that has a conscience and doesn't want to scam people or sell drugs.

And when older people who had a thriving economy growing up, who had communities in the form of proper families, churches, clubs, ect; when people who had a life with structure and a pre-set path to follow to thrive try to tell us everything is gonna be okay, we know they're detached and ignorant cause they dont understand what life is actually like for people these days.
The state has been spying on people for my entire post-9/11 life and it's only gonna get more and more advanced. People my age are also increasingly atomized and lonely. We can't afford to go anywhere or do anything most of the time, and alot of powerful people stand to benefit from people being so atomized from each other and not forming real communities.
Everyone I know in my home town is on food stamps cause we don't get paid enough, while the CEOs of those companies we work for can afford private jets and multiple houses. HOUSING is another huge thing; the average person my age will never be able to afford a house. Alot of us are strapped with medical debt we'll never pay off. The earth is dying and there's nothing individuals can do because large companies and governments may as well be eldritch gods for all the power they have over the earth and how little any single man can do to change it.
@El_Ceviche I can't exactly put it nicely, but to be frank you likely are. You're how much older than me? You grew up in a different world, with different rules. There's no upward mobility for people my age without becoming a soulless husk or being evil. By the time we're old enough to collect social security it wont exist, automation is going to make almost all workers obsolete in like 20 years tops, our government is continually rolling back our freedoms, the electoral system is a joke run by pedophiles who regularly take bribes and commit atrocities in our name.
