My son, I realize now that the life I have given you has been less than ideal. If you wish to stay here with your mother, Captain Turk and all of their rowdy friends, I will understand.
No Father, my life on Fantasy Inland may not be perfect, but it’s the only life I know. I could no more leave you now than I could leave myself…which…I guess technically I have done once but the odds of it happening again seem pretty slim.
When I think back at the way I’ve treated you: the cruel jokes, the mocking laughter, the puntings across the yard - and all the time - my own son.
