Rest In Peace, Pat Oliphant

At 17, I hitchhiked to California from Louisiana and on the way I stopped in Denver and called the Denver Post and asked to meet with Pat Oliphant. I considered myself a fledgling cartoonist and thought that Oliphant was one of the best! He graciously met with me in his cubby hole/drawing board area and gave me one of his rough sketches along with a printed version of it. Rest in Peace.
