Character Concept: The Magician

I'm trying to think up some ideas for personalities/powers/aesthetics for a mentor character for issue 4 of Kill All Boneheads. I sketched this design but IDK I'm not really feeling it; it's based off "The Magician" arcana from tarot; thematically appropriate but IDK just not feeling it. Still makes a cool art piece.
